Website, extension or app: where to find a promo code

Choose a useful starting point on your phone or computer, then carry the offer details with you as you move towards checkout.

ShopTools AI helps you find promo codes on its website; the extension can test available codes in supported carts. Choose the tool for the stage you have reached. Finding an offer and checking the price are different jobs.

Choose a starting point

You do not need every version for one purchase. If copying a code from the website and entering it at the store is enough, there is no need to add another tool.

An app is not the same as a browser extension

A retailer's app, a Safari tab and a messenger's built-in browser are different environments. Installing the ShopTools app does not automatically give it control of every checkout you open.

An app that includes a Safari extension still requires a separate setup step for the extension. Enable it and choose whether it may access the website where you want to use it.

When automatic testing is unavailable, enter the code in the retailer's coupon field yourself. Lack of access to a cart is neither a rejected code nor evidence of a discount.

Keep the context when changing devices

  1. Keep the retailer's name and official domain, the code, terms, country and expiry date. A code string alone may tell you little later.
  2. Check the current terms again on the other device. A saved card or bot reply does not extend an offer's validity.
  3. Open the intended order with the retailer. Do not assume ShopTools will transfer your cart, account session or delivery settings between apps.
  4. Compare product variants, quantities, the seller and delivery. An app's total may differ from the price shown in a browser.

If you contact support, include the offer identifier when available, or its page link. Keep passwords, payment details and verification codes out of the problem description.

Why the results may look different

A small screen shows fewer cards at once than a full website. Different visible counts do not, by themselves, establish that an offer changed or one search interface is broken.

Compare the retailer, the offer itself and its terms, not just similar titles. A shared offer identifier helps distinguish records, but is not evidence that a discount currently applies.

Check the country in each interface you use. Do not assume a manual choice on your phone has synced to the extension. A ShopTools country setting does not change the retailer's delivery address either.

Read the action, not just the offer

Copy gives you a code; Open store takes you to a page. Neither action checks your final price. A promotion without a code may not need a coupon field at all.

Selecting an offer in the app or through AI search identifies a candidate. Evidence of savings requires comparable payable totals before and after a code, not merely a successful visit to the store.

When a browser is the better place to finish

A larger screen can make a complex cart or several delivery options easier to compare. After leaving an in-app browser, check the address, your store login and the order contents again.

Finish your checks where you intend to pay. An offer found on another device still needs to match the final terms of this particular order.
